Invest in Tax liens

I have invested in many tax lien properties and it is not just a bunch of hype. If you do you homework before you invest it can give you a significant ROI. Too many get greedy, impatient and lazy and end up stuck with a piece of property with no value. Like any other investment, if you are diligent in identifying the risks and potential returns, it can be an excellent investment. Do you find this valuable?

Question: As a first time tax lien investor, what do I need to know and be aware of? I found a property that is delinquent over $8000. If they are not paid by June 5, the county will deed the property over to the treasurer. So, do I as an investor, pay the taxes, then place a lien on the property? How long do I give the homeowner to pay the bill? And, how does it work with the mortgage holder? There is a private loan on the property. If I were to purchase the property with the tax lien, would there still be a lien against the property from the private lender? 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?
